Lake Moondarra (near Mount Isa) - vegetation fire

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS) is monitoring a vegetation fire burning near Lake Moondarra (north of Mount Isa). The fire is burning in inaccessible land and there currently is no immediate threat to properties. The fire is causing a large volume of smoke and the northerly wind is blowing the smoke across Mount Isa. Residents in the area are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they are susceptible to respiratory illnesses to keep their medication close by.
