Fire Activity as at 5.30pm

Pleystowe – grass fire
Three fire crews are on scene at a grass fire on Mackay-Eungella Road at Pleystowe. The fire started around 2.45pm. Firefighters successfully protected several homes from the blaze. The fire was under control around 4.40pm and firefighters will continue to monitor the area into the evening.

Pilton – grass fire
Six fire crews responded after a grass fire burning off Pilton Valley Road, Pilton broke containment lines around 1.30pm this afternoon. The fire is now under control and firefighters are strengthening containment lines and conducting backburning activities. The fire will continue to be monitored throughout the evening. No homes are under threat at this time.

Habana – grass fire
Ten fire crews responded to a grass fire on Yakapari Habana Road at Habana around 1.15pm. An abandoned house caught fire in the blaze and was destroyed. Firefighters are now conducting backburning activities in the area. No structures are under threat at this time.

Hatton Vale – grass fire
Seven fire crews are on scene at a grass fire off the Warrego Highway at Hatton Vale. The fire started around 4.30pm and is now under control. No structures were threatened by the fire.

Minden – grass fire
Four fire crews responded to a grass fire off the Warrego Highway at Minden. The fire was reported just after 4pm. The fire is now under control. No homes were threatened by the blaze.
