Call '000' in an emergency situation. Do not call:
- your local rural fire brigade
- your local fire warden
- the Rural Fire Service District Office
- volunteer members
Calling '000' - the Fire Communications Centre - is the quickest method of obtaining assistance in an emergency. Your local brigade or fire warden may be attending another incident and you may have wasted precious time trying to find that person. The communications officers are specially training in receiving your call, have all contacts at hand eg. police, ambulance, chemical specialists, local councils and are the most effective and efficient method of obtaining assistance.
